The Poem received another Medjugorje related approval during a broadcast interview on Mother Angelica's EWTN cable network, which aired an interview with Medjugorje seer Marija Pavlovic conducted by retired New Orleans Archbishop Philip Hannan. On March 4, 1992 on the Archbishop's Focus program, Bob, a call in viewer from Milwaukee asked Marija, on the air, "What exactly did our Lady say regarding the Poem of the Man-God?" Marija responded that our Lady told her, "You can read it" (1, 2). In an interview with Elliot Miller and Kenneth Samples (who turned out to be critical of Medjugorje), Vicka Ivankovic confirmed Our Ladies endorsement of Maria Valtorta’s writings. The testimony can be found in their resulting book, "The Cult of the Virgin", Baker Book House, Grand Rapids, MI , 1992, p. 150.

The following is an excerpt from an email with permission to post: In reference to Medjugorje, I was standing outside Vicka's house and she was asked the same question by three groups of pilgrims. I heard Vicka say: “Our Lady says The Poem of the Man-God is the truth. Our Lady said if a person wants to know Jesus, he should read the Poem of the Man-God by Maria Valtorta. That book is the truth.” Three times! The first time was to an Italian group, and a woman in our group translated. I stayed there to confirm this. Vicka was asked the same question in English, and gave the same answer. Another American group appeared, so I stayed and heard Vicka give the same reply for the third time. This was during the week of the Assumption, 1981. I remember it as if were yesterday! I went home, purchased the set and read all of it to a blind friend of mine. Sometimes for hours and hours. We couldn't stop reading it. Your brother in Christ Jesus, and His most sorrowful Mother, +Deacon Joe (Virginia)
